New Year’s Resolution: Take Care of You (So You Can Care for Them)
balance community self care support and encouragement Jan 02, 2026
Your New Year’s Resolution Doesn’t Need More Hustle. It Needs More You.
Every January, a lot of us make big promises:
-
“I’m going to be more patient.”
-
“I’m going to get organized.”
-
“I’m going to finally do the healthy thing consistently.”
And then… real life shows up. Kids. Work. Dinner. Laundry. A surprise permission slip due today. And suddenly the resolution becomes another item on the “I’m failing” list.
Let’s try something kinder (and honestly, way more effective):
Make your New Year’s focus about taking care of yourself so you can take care of the people you love.
Not in a selfish way. In a “put your own oxygen mask on first” way.
Because you deserve support. And because your family benefits when you’re not running on fumes.
The Resolution That Sustains You: Support + Fun + A Community That Gets You
Self-care isn’t just bubble baths (although we’re not mad at those). It’s also:
-
having someone to vent to who won’t judge you
-
borrowing ideas that actually work in real homes
-
feeling less alone in the messy middle
-
being reminded you’re doing better than you think
That’s why Thrive Momma Coaching is built as a community-first space, not a “perfect-mom” performance.
Welcome to Thrive Momma (Built by Moms, Powered by Feedback)
Everything you see on Thrive Momma Coaching (https://www.thrivemommacoaching.com ) exists because moms told us what they needed.
We began with a survey completed by women, and their feedback consistently landed in seven themes:
-
Balance
-
Support and Encouragement
-
Self-Care
-
Time Management
-
Parenting
-
Career and Personal Goals
-
Family Financial
Those themes aren’t just nice categories. They’re our roadmap.
Blogs Shaped by Real Requests (Not Random “Mom Advice”)
Our articles (https://www.thrivemommacoaching.com/blog ) come straight from what moms asked for in the survey.
Some wanted:
-
quick wins
-
tips and tricks that don’t require a life overhaul
-
scripts for hard conversations with loved ones
-
clear “guardrails” (because boundaries are easier when we know where the fence is)
So that’s what we build.
And because your time matters, each blog is researched and includes peer-reviewed sources and evidence-based resources, with a focus on ethics, readability, and real usefulness (no fluff, no shame, no fear tactics).
The Thrive Momma Community: Where You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Thrive Momma isn’t just content for you. It’s a place with you.
Inside the Thrive Momma Community, we invite members to share experiences, encouragement, and practical ideas in the comments and conversations here:
https://www.thrivemommacoaching.com/products/communities/v2/thrivemommacommunity/home
Because moms aren’t just the audience. Moms are the co-creators.
The Survey Stays Open (Because Your Needs Change)
Here’s one of our favourite parts: the survey stays open as long as the community exists.
That means:
-
what we write about stays connected to what moms actually need
-
you can share feedback anytime
-
you can fill it out more than once (no limit)
If you have ideas for future blogs, courses, coaching topics, or site improvements, we truly want to hear them.
What’s Coming Next
Over the next few months, we’ll be launching:
-
courses
-
coaching opportunities
…and they’ll directly reflect the seven themes the survey revealed.
While you’re waiting for those launches, you’re also welcome to check out our shop:
https://thrivemomma.myshopify.com/
And looking a little further ahead:
-
a Thrive Momma book
-
opportunities to book Thrive Momma for speaking engagements, group sessions, and professional development
-
in year two: guest speakers through a podcast, possible retreats, and more community-based support
A Note From Me, Elizabeth
As founder, I see my role as simple (and honestly, kind of an honour):
I’m here to help turn your needs into a real, supportive community—by combining my research, writing, counselling, and administrative skills to build what you’ve told us you want.
And just to be clear and caring: what we offer is coaching and education, not therapy or medical care. We’ll always encourage you to seek the right professional support when that’s what you need.
Your New Year’s Invitation
If this year you want a resolution that actually lasts, let it be this:
Stop trying to do motherhood alone.
Choose support. Choose community. Choose tiny steps that keep you going.
Come join us at https://www.thrivemommacoaching.com , explore the blogs, and jump into the community conversations. And if you’ve got ideas? Keep them coming—because Thrive Momma is built around what you tell us matters most.
Get in on the Discussion. Your voice matters. Thrive Momma is about joining the conversation — sharing stories, laughter, and wisdom with moms who get it.
